DESCRIPTION:
Tepha’s absorbable sutures made from TephaFLEX® material are designed to provide physicians and surgeons with an unparalleled combination of tensile strength and prolonged strength retention with improved flexibility in an absorbable monofilament suture. Tepha’s sutures are designed to be very smooth allowing them to slide through tissues easily and have knot strengths comparable to existing absorbable monofilament sutures.

INDICATIONS FOR USE:
- General soft tissue approximation
- Ligation
The TephaFLEX® monofilament suture was determined substantially equivalent by the Food and Drug Administration for the following indications for use:
"The TephaFLEX® suture is indicated for use in soft tissue approximation and / or ligation but not for use in cardiovascular or neurological surgery, microsurgery, or ophthalmic surgery." The suture is offered either un-dyed or dyed (violet), in sizes ranging from size 2 through 5-0 in a variety of cut lengths, with or without needles attached.
