Simon
Williams, Ph.D., President & C.E.O.

Dr. Williams has been President and C.E.O. of Tepha since its formation in September 1998. He is also a cofounder of Metabolix, Tepha's sister company, and has served on the Metabolix board of directors since 1992. At Metabolix, his responsibilities as vice president included research and development, legal affairs, business development, as well as financial issues. During his tenure at Metabolix, Dr. Williams focused on medical and other specialty applications of the firm's products, of which all medical applications have since been transferred to Tepha. Prior to cofounding Metabolix, he was a lecturer in organic chemistry at Manchester University in England and a visiting scientist and NATO postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Williams earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Cambridge University, England. |

Ajay
Ahuja, M.D., Director of Business Development

Dr. Ahuja is the Director of Business Development for Tepha and
is responsible for guiding medical device development, pursuing
strategic alliances with research collaborators and marketing
partners, and conducting strategic corporate planning. Dr.
Ahuja's medical specialties include general pediatric medicine
and pediatric cardiology, and he performed his subspecialty
training at Children's Hospital, Boston and Harvard Medical
School. He has also consulted to the biopharmaceutical industry
with the Boston Consulting Group. Dr. Ahuja earned his M.D. at
Washington University in St. Louis, and he also earned an M.B.A
from Harvard Business School.

Rizik, Vice President of Operations

Mr. Rizik is the Vice President of Operations for Tepha and is responsible for all aspects of new technology development, manufacturing, engineering and quality. He has over twenty years experience developing products and processes in the surgical and medical device industries. As a Senior Director at U.S. Surgical Corporation (Tyco International), he spearheaded the development of a state-of-the-art surgical needle manufacturing facility for cardiovascular, plastic and ophthalmic products. In addition as an R&D Manager, he has developed and commercialized numerous products with Ethicon Inc., a Johnson and Johnson company, such as Vicryl, PDS, Prolene, Polyester, Silk and Nylon sutures. His insight led to the company's first automated extrusion system. Mr. Rizik earned a M.S. in mechanical and aerospace engineering at Rutgers University.

Martin, Ph.D., Director of Research and Development

Dr. Martin is the Director of Research and Development for Tepha and is
responsible for the scientific and technical aspects of the
Company's product development programs, including production of
the biomaterials previously with Metabolix, where he
worked on various aspects of PHA biochemistry and synthesis, as
well as on the development of new applications for these
biomaterials. As an expert in his field, Dr. Martin has been
awarded numerous patents in the scope of manufacturing PHA
polymers, tissue repair, and the therapeutic uses of polymers. In addition, Dr. Martin has authored and co-authored several well
known papers on biomaterials and polymerization. Dr. Martin
earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Stanford University.
